Thank you for allowing Vitreo-Retinal Associates to care for your ocular health.  We are recognized throughout the country as one of the leading practices for the treatment of retinal diseases and surgery.  We hope to ensure your visit is as pleasant and proficient as possible.

What to Expect

Upon your arrival, you will be greeted by our friendly staff.  We ask that you please sign in at the front desk.  If you are a new patient, we will request that present your insurance card, driver’s license and complete our new patient paperwork. If you wish, you may print and complete the new patient paperwork from the link below in the Patient Forms section of this page prior to your arrival.  We request that you come prepared to pay your Co-pay.

A nurse or ophthalmic technician will call your name from the waiting area to begin your examination.  All patients should expect to be dilated. Note:  if you feel uncomfortable driving while dilated please arrange necessary transportation.   After your eyes are dilated, you will be called to see the doctor.  Your visit will include comprehensive care from our doctors, any diagnostic procedures, and same day treatment if necessary.

This entire process may take several hours.  We ask that you please be as patient as possible.  Our experienced doctors and staff all have one goal – to help you keep SIGHT of what’s important.

Our office accepts most major insurances, including those listed below. If you are unsure if we are in network with your insurance company, please call the number on the back of your insurance card to obtain a list of approved providers.

We do not accept any type of Medicaid as a PRIMARY Insurance or any form of Community Care.

We are closed on the weekends and the following holidays:  New Years Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, The Day After Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Emergencies and After Hour Care

Our doctors provide on call care.  Please call our office number at 318-222-8421 and leave a message with our nurse if you should need us anytime after hours, on weekends or holidays.
